HEMINGWAY PARK:
In 1953, the Lignano Pineta organisation gave as a present to Ernest Hemingway a beautiful piece of land for the writer to build his summer residence; Hemingway accepted, but then he did not come back to Lignano anymore... or rather, his memory came back as a public park bearing his name built in 1984. In the 4 hectares of land there are more than 4,000 high trunk trees, flourishing spontaneous bush-woods where you can still find small wild orchids. The park is crossed by an equipped gymnastic path and a playground for children. A small amphitheatre with a covered square is available for performances.
