THE ALPE ADRIA ARENA:
1987 saw the inauguration of the imposing Arena, built on the basis of a project by the Studio Nizzoli in Milan. The Arena, located within a big maze garden, looks like an archaeological ruin of an ancient theatre and a spontaneous vegetation grows among its terraces. The style goes from the "Ziqqurat", the astronomic tower of the ancient Mesopotamia, to the neoclassic labyrinths, built with smooth river stones, to the stage with perspective wings made with cut hedges and profiles of human bodies and the classic labyrinth, like the Crete one, in the centre of which there is obviously a Minotaur.
