SPORT AND LEISURE:
Lignano provides sport lovers with many open air activities. Beach volley championships, scuba diving courses, canoeing, windsurfing, horse riding and tennis and a golf course with 18 holes, a pride of Lignano. The tour of the 6 thematic parks allows adults and children to spend amusing days.
PUNTA VERDE ZOO:
The Punta Verde Zoo is a zoological garden managed by a private company, and therefore it is not financed by the public administration and its revenues come from the sold entrance tickets only.
Since August 2002, the work carried out by the Zoo has been acknowledged by the WAZA-World Association of Zoos and Aquaria which leads, encourages and supports the zoos and the aquaria so that they can contribute to educate and raise the public's awareness on the issue of animal species and environment preservation. With its 80 animal species, the Punta Verde Zoo is a unique place, both for children and adults.

ACQUASPLASH:
The water park Acquasplash is open since 1985 and it includes 40,000 sqm devoted to water games and leisure activities, both for adults and children. Sliding-boards, kamikaze jumps, hydro massage tubs, the pirate ship are some examples of the many attractions of the park.

GULLIVERLAND:
Inaugurated in spring 2000, Gulliverland is a Thematic Park, addressed especially to families but also to people of every age. It is divided into different areas: the aquarium for the sea lovers, which gives the opportunity to admire the seascape walking quietly through a glass tunnel under the sea; dinosaurs are the protagonists of the Volcano Rapids area, where you can experience the emotion of gliding from the top of a volcano through waterfalls on primitive canoes. Then there is a Medieval area, where a small train takes you through the Maya ruins, the 60-meter-high panoramic tower and... a lot more!
